The connection methods of the heat exchanger and the tube sheet include expansion joint, welding, expansion joint + welding, and the like. Ordinary shell and tube heat exchangers usually use welded connection methods to ensure the sealing performance and tensile strength of the tube and tube sheet connection. For the heat exchanger, due to the requirements of the working medium and the use conditions, the connection method of the heat exchanger tube and the tube sheet is selected by expansion joint + welding. Expansion joints can eliminate crevice corrosion and improve fatigue resistance of welds. The heat exchanger tube sheet expansion joint can be divided into mechanical expansion joint, explosive expansion joint, hydraulic expansion joint, pulse expansion joint and so on according to different processes. The mechanical expansion joint adopts balls to expand the pipe, which has the advantages of easy operation and low manufacturing cost, and therefore has been widely used.
In actual production, the requirements for the sealing performance of the heat exchanger are often high, and there are gap corrosion in some applications, and sometimes accompanied by vibration and fatigue loads. Therefore, the structure of the heat exchanger tube sheet is required to be expanded and welded. Therefore, we need to pay attention to many problems in the actual operation process.
